This engaging 5-week series marks the second half of the portrait classes. Get ready to create refined and polished images, honing the skills needed to finish drawings- not just start them. Part 2 in March will expand upon these skills in a focused Rendering Class, where we’ll transition from theory to refined technique. Working from plaster casts, Bargue plates, and live models, students will learn to render with patience and precision—building the discipline and methodical approach necessary to complete sophisticated, long-form drawings. Together, these two parts create a comprehensive journey into the art and craft of portraiture, guiding artists from confident sketches to fully realized, expressive portraits.
