Landscape & Plein Air Painting

All materials are included—just bring your curiosity and creative spirit! In this class, you’ll dive into painting landscapes from reference but also building up our skills to plein air paint on location! Although materials are provided, Lauren will explain what is needed to paint on your own and recommend her favorite pochade boxes, paints, and other tools! Each session is hands-on, relaxed, and designed to make you feel excited about picking up a brush.

Along the way, you’ll build a solid foundation in traditional oil painting techniques. We’ll focus on the essentials—value, color, composition, and brushwork—using clear, logical methods that help you understand why things work, not just how. These skills become the toolkit you can use to tackle any subject with confidence, making your artwork stronger, more expressive, and more enjoyable to create.
