Slow Side by Side Portrait Drawing
What's This?
In this class you will work side by side with Lauren to take your portrait from start to finish, practicing slow rendering technqies and pushing your drawing to a new level. This class will be a "draw along" group class where we spend 4 sittings developing a single portrait in graphite alongside the students. Each week, I will draw along with you and help develop from a high-quality reference photo, which I will provide. I will also provide the paper to make sure it is a high-quality piece. I will take time to come around and help everyone with their piece. We will practice taking it slow and developing a piece over time to learn more about rendering. We will also touch on some of the classical realism rendering techniques. I will attach an image of the slow-drawing portrait in graphite.

Cancellation Policy
Classes are $45, which includes the Model fee. Because of the small class size, being a small business and the difficulty of finding last-minute student sign-ups to take open spaces, last-minute cancellations within 24 hours will not be refunded or transferred to other dates. If a student can find a replacement for themselves, that will be allowed. Anything before Tuesdays at 6:00 pm will be honored.
